From rags to riches, what was a biker bar years ago to elegant new years eve parties and never ending entertainment lineups, and incredible drinks and staff. Big Shotz Bar and Grill has cemented itself in the Antelope Valley community. Recently celebrating its 6th year of being open, Big Shots has been about three things from the very get go, rock, great drinks, and community betterment.
If you’re talking rock and roll in the AV your talking Big Shotz, the entertainment list is never ending at this small venue, local family band The Fulcos have been playing at Big Shotz from the very beginning. seeing these guys at Big Shotz is a must. The energy that they bring every time is out of this world and they’re always doing something new. Big show coming up in October the Prince Again- a tribute to prince show. I can tell you that this writer is personally excited for this one so make sure to call and reserve your table for that night. Big Shotz has also been known to have celebrities show up and sing a couple, like comedian Tom Green doing an amazing rendition of the Beastie Boys.
Big Shotz has always been about community betterment. Coming from a rough place and being transformed into what would make an LA hot spot jealous, just on the fasaud of this place, let alone the food and drinks. The even bigger difference has been giving back to the community by giving people fresh starts, paying off kids lunches at the local school, to donating backpacks full of school supplies, and having a huge presence and passion at the AV’s pride parade. You can’t spell community without B-I-G-S-H-O-T-Z.
Talk about an amazing staff, Big Shotz is bringing back great customer service to SoCal. two of my favorites are two of the longest tenured bartenders Brandi and Amy. they’re fun, fast, great at pouring drinks, and are always there for a great conversation. I could write all day about the entertainment but what really sells you on this place is the people, it realy is like a family.
With the owner of Big Shotz coming from the East coast and coming from an Italian family you know that this menu is simplistic yet incredible and full of flavor. The pizzas are made with that perfect new york style kiss of a little char, and covered with quality meat and never fresher produce they are a must on a trip to Big Shotz. Daily specials with food and drinks will have you coming back time and time again.
Big shotz not only is a great venue for rock and roll but they also have an amazing lineup of daily entertainment. You have Monday comedy night, Wednesday open mic with the Fulcos followed by pride night filled with DJ’s and dancers, and don’t forget about sundays karaoke. Wether it’s plenty of tables for a rock show or a plethora of TV’s to watch any game you want on Sundays, stop on by and become part of the family.
