One-of-a-kind commuter aviation service launches with inaugural routes between La Verne-Hawthorne and Camarillo-Hawthorne with a limited-time $62 daily offer
FLOAT (Fly Over All Traffic), an innovative and groundbreaking commuter flight service debuting in the Los Angeles market, has received Department of Transportation approval for its initial routes between La Verne-Hawthorne and Camarillo-Hawthorne, and it is celebrating the opening of ticket bookings with an introductory $62 round-trip fare.
“Beating the rush hour gridlock doesn’t have to break the bank, and FLOAT is making aviation commuter service around Southern California both comfortable and cost-effective,” said FLOAT co-founder Arnel Guiang. “We have been overwhelmed by frustrated drivers who are sick and tired of sitting in traffic, and people shouldn’t be punished by our clogged Southern California freeway arteries with lengthy commutes between home and work.”
FLOAT’s service is now accepting bookings between Brackett Field in La Verne and Hawthorne Municipal Airport as well as between Camarillo Airport and Hawthorne Municipal Airport.
Monthly Super Commuter Memberships offer daily service for either route for a low rate of $1,250 per month. Frequent commuters who may not travel daily can purchase ticket packages in increments of 10, 15, or 20 segments at a discounted rate from the full fare price.
Early adopters of FLOAT’s service can take advantage of a low introductory one-way price of $31.25 through March 14th.
“For those of us who have spent any time commuting to and from work, up and down the 405, or east to west along the 10, 60 or 210, knows that rush hour is a myth,” Guiang added. “Our freeways load up around 5 am, and they generally remain clogged until 8 pm, or later, and commuting in this environment throws our work-life balance out of whack. FLOAT eases that congestion.”
