Los Angeles–based therapist, creative director, and cultural advocate Luis Cornejo presents “Xochipilli: Queer Expressions of Joy, Culture, and Love,” a special evening of art, conversation, and community at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles.
Inspired by Xōchipilli, the Mexica deity associated with flowers, art, pleasure, and sacred joy, the event brings together photography, fashion, and storytelling to explore queer identity through culture, history, and creative expression. The program will feature a photo presentation alongside a panel conversation with artists and community voices reflecting on the role of self-expression, visibility, and joy in queer communities.
Through stylized portraits and editorial imagery, the project highlights queer identity as a living archive of resilience, beauty, and cultural memory. The event will take place Thursday evening at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes and is free and open to the public with RSVP.
