If you’re a guy who has ever brushed a female off because you didn’t want to hurt her feelings or stopped calling because you were no longer interested, then shame on you.  And vice-versa.  Please realize that dumping someone without any explanation at all will hurt them more than anything.  A person will have so much more respect for you if you open up and tell them exactly what the problem is.

There is something in us all that makes us want to take the easy way out.  I don’t know anyone who enjoys good-byes.  Having someone come into your life and then suddenly exit without any trace as to why they left will make anyone’s heart skip a beat.  It opens the door for esteem issues.  Was I not good enough?  What didn’t he like about me?  What did I say or do to upset her?  The list can go on and on.

My mother always taught me that it’s not what you say but how you say it.  If you meet someone who can’t cook, tell them, maybe not in those exact words.  If you meet someone who is a terrible kisser, tell them.  Many things that are broken can often times be mended.  Don’t always look for the exit door in relationships.  It creates a bad habit for marriage.  Try working things out first.  But remember, a problem is not always apparent to both parties.  That’s why communication is really the key that can unlock any door of a relationship.
