John Podesta’s twitter (and Gmail account) were hacked. Doesn’t matter who did it, does matter that it could have been prevented. If he had enabled two-step authentication it could not have happened.  Anytime a new log-on is attempted a text message (or email depending on how you configured) will be sent to your phone/email, then you have to enter the code in.
