Tis The Season – In Southern California

It’s that time of year once again! The season of good cheer, sugar plums and eight tiny reindeer is much needed after our last trip around the sun, so let’s see how many ways this year can put the kiss back under your mistletoe!

First up to get the eggnog flowing is this year’s 89th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade in Los Angeles! Marching bands, floats, Santa and movie stars under the stars! Only in Hollywood! This event takes place on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 5 pm at 2350 Sunrise Street in LA.

For the more “settled in for a long winter’s night” crowd is the classic tale of greed and selfishness turned into love and generosity with the help of three ghosts and a Tim that’s tiny. The classic “A Christmas Carol” will grace the stage once more on Sunday, Dec. 5 at the Ahmanson Theatre. Showtimes are from 1-6 pm and the theatre is located at 135 N. Grand Ave. in L.A.

What’s Christmas without lights, Lights, and more LIGHTS!? Fear not, ask what Holidays at Universal City Walk will provide! If yule logs don’t burn as hot for you until brightly colored LED bulbs fill up your eyes, then prepare to sleep with the window open. The famous outdoor plaza not only has lights, they have 200,000 LED icicles synchronized with the lights AND holiday music making for an unforgettable family experience! Did I also mention the dozens of street performers, the dancing water fountain and live music provided by several So-Cal bands … I didn’t? Forgive me. There are also dozens of street performers, a dancing water fountain and live music provided by several So Cal bands! Friday, Dec. 10 from 11 am – 11 pm at Universal City Walk Hollywood. 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA.
